FOUNDATION & APPROVAL
 

1. What foundation is required?

All summer houses are delivered without foundation and soil. As ground a foundation of concrete or concrete curbstones is recommended. It can also be a foundation of solid hardwood or screw piles are contemplated. The required foundation often depends however on the local soil conditions. We are happy to advise you on the appropriate foundations for you variant. Should you nevertheless want an extra floor we can offer plastic floor parts. You can lay a floor at any time in your summer house. It would be advisable to mention this purpose when it comes to order.

Of course, you can place the garden home on paving stones. When placed directly on cobblestones there are several points to consider:
The paved area should best lie horizontally between the individual stones with a minimum gap / minimal gap. For placement of the garden house on the pavement, we have preferred an additional steel profile (C-profile / Sendzimir galvanized), which you lay flat on the pavement. The walls are then mounted on this steel profile and are about 40 mm above the paved surface. The connection of the steel section with the patch should best be sealed with sealant to prevent water from running under the steel profile. The appropriate foundation degree we like to lead on to you.


2. What needs to be observed in the creation of a suitable foundation? 

Based on the foundation drawing, you receive individually for your summer house from us, please consider the following: It is important that the measurements given are adhered to without flexibility and the foundation with a height of about 3 cm above the existing floor is made so that the summer house wins distance to the bottom. Please make the foundation horizontally. The walls look 3.5 cm above the foundation, so that the rain water falls beside the foundation instead on it. Moisture or water have no chance to get into the house. This is also the reason why the foundation is always made smaller than the summer house. Want to put your summer house on a foundation of existing please forward the exact dimensions of the existing foundation on to us, so that the dimensions of the house are adapted to the dimensions of the existing foundation. In lieu of the desired door for your sumemr house an edge of about 50 mm should be made to the outside to support the doorstep. 3. Where do I get the foundation drawing from?

4. Can an existing foundation be used?

Want to put your summer house on a foundation of existing please forward the exact dimensions of the existing foundation on to us, so that the dimensions of the summer house are adapted to the dimensions of the existing foundation. 5. Can I place my summer house on paving stones ?

Of course, you can place the garden home on paving stones. When placed directly on cobblestones so-called Startprofil would be necessary in order to ensure a watertight connection. One explanation for placement on cobblestones meet in Question 1 What foundation is required? 

 

6. Will the creation of the foundation be offered ?

Unfortunately we do not offer the creation of a foundation. To create the foundation we are happy to take the necessary measures further. Should questions arise, we are at any time with advice. For placement directly on cobblestones we can offer a suitable steel section (see Question 1).

 

7. The foundation is difficult to achieve, what are the consequences?

If the foundation is difficult to achieve the summer house will be delivered in components. The mounting will be more complex and takes longer in time, this has to be considered.

 

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM

 

1. What are the components of a plastic garden home?

A plastic garden home consists of a wooden -or- steel structure encased in durable components. Wood and steel are to be able to provide an important base element to a stable and well-isolated garden home for the construction of our plastic garden homes.

 

2. In which color can I get my summer house?

The wall profiles of our plastic garden homes are available in potdeksel profile or traditional profile and in different RAL colors. A simple color scheme can be found at the following link http://www.romahaus.de/alg_kleuren1.php. Please note that not all colors are included in this scheme. The corner rails are available in certain colors (more on this below ,, Is there a choice in terms of design and color of corner rails? "). The design and color of the doors and windows largely determines the broadcasting of your garden house. These are individually manufactured and are available in a smooth version or with structure. Doors and windows with structural foil (Renolit) are priced higher than the doors and windows with a smooth surface. CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM - WALLS

 

1. What does a wall element consist of?

A wall element consists of a wooden framework on which the individual wall profiles from pvc are bolted. A delivery in wall elements advances installation of your summer house and forms the basis to isolate the walls so that it can be used as ,, living and / or working space ".

 

2. How are the wall elements connected to each other?

The wall elements of a summer house are connected by corner rails. 


3. Is there a choice in terms of design and color of corner rails?

You have the choice of two different systems of corner rails. 70 mm and 95 mm. Both systems are made of aluminum. The 95 mm rail corner is  only available in dark green, cream white and anthracite. The 70 mm rail corner moreover in light ivory and dark blue. Different colors are available for an additional charge.

 

4. Which wall profile types are available?

You can choose from the potdeksel profile with fine wood structure or the traditional profile with a smooth surface. The traditional profile is only available in white, cream white or light ivory. The potdeksel profile moreover in dark colors.

 

5. From which material the wall profiles are made?

The wall profiles are made of PVC-U (hard PVC like plastic windows)

 

6. What is the strength of the wall profiles?

The strength of the wall profiles is 58 mm. Due to their air cells all garden homes are insulated. If you want to use your summer house also in winter or if you want to convert it to living or working space it has to be more insulated. Any questions about extra isolation of your garden home? 7. When is extra isolation of walls required?

By using your plastic garden home in colder months extra isolation is recommended. Also for use as a workshop / office space / guest accommodation extra isolation is advantageous.

 

8. What are the benefits of plastic wall profiles?

The 58 mm wall profiles exhibit not only high impact resistance, but are also insulating, strong and impervious to moisture penetration due to its unique profile structure. In addition to a long service life, the plastic wall profiles ensure, inter alia, that your garden house must never be treated again.

 

9. Which material is used to get a garden home extra insulated?  

For additional isolation of walls Styrofoam and a decorative trim panel is used. Do you want to insulate your garden home at a later date please mention this before production.

 

10. How are the wall panels maintained?

You can maintain the wall profiles with special plastic cleaner. However, use a sponge, warm soapy water and wet cloth to get your summer house cleaned. For dark wall profiles the extra care with sunflower oil is recommended to create a protective film. Light Wall profiles are more sensitive to dirt than dark wall profiles. Grey is a balanced wall color in terms of care.


11. In what lengths the wall profiles are processed?

The wall sections are processed per centimeter, seamlessly up to a length of 8 meters.


12. Are the profiles to obtain individually?

On request, the profiles are also to obtain individually. Price per running meter 5,50 excl. VAT.



CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM - DOORS AND WINDOWS


1. In which styles and colors plastic doors and windows are available?

The outside of a pvc garden house contributes significantly to the broadcast. Not only functionality, but also longevity are important, you decide when choosing for which doors and windows yourself. With our specially produced doors and windows of REHAU, one of the leading manufacturers of door and window frame profiles, we are able to manufacture able plastic doors and windows according to your wishes.


2. How do I have to clean doors and windows of my garden home? 

The plastic door and window frames are provided with a special surface that gives a brilliant shine, that is smooth and therefore easy to clean. A regular care with clear water and a commercial detergent or a special cleaner is sufficient. The seals can also be lubricated with a silicone pen. Highly recommended is also the regular care of moveable fitting parts. The glass sheets are cleaned easily with clear, warm water and a good chamois. Your advantage: A high-quality appearance even after many years and a lasting value through high-quality materials.

 

 

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM - ROOF

 

1.  From which material the roof parts are made ?

The roof ledges are made of plastic. The rain gutters are available in plastic or aluminum and are available in standard colors like white, cream white, gray and dark gray (anthracite). The color of roof ledges and rain gutters can be matched to the color combination of your plastic garden house.

 

2. Which choice do I have in type of roof?

You can choose for a flat roof, a pyramid roof or a gabled roof. All roofs are built of wood. Only garden home Palermo as a kit is an exception with a roof that is built of steel. The roof of a flat roof garden house like our garden home Milano consists of insulated sandwich panels. Roofs of our pyramid roof garden homes like summer house Siena consist of rafters with OSB3 roof panels equipped with roof sheeting and roofing shingles as a roofing material. Gabled roof houses are also covered with asphalt shingles, a vapor transmitting film and tile sheet plates but are in most cases with rafters and roof boards OSB3 supplied as roofing.  For insulated gabled roof garden villas additionally insulated sandwich panels are used. These are mounted on the wooden rafters. The roof of a pyramid roof garden house can also be separately insulated.


INSTALLATION

You can mount a plastic garden house yourself. You get detailed installation instructions, so that the building succeeds safely. Flat roof garden houses are in your processing easier to assemble than our gabled roof and hipped roof garden houses. The difficulty is then particularly in the assembly of the roof. Should there still arise difficulties during installation, we are always also be reached by phone to answer questions.

 

GUARANTEE

The guarantee of a plastic garden house is 5 years for all items and assembly. Not warranty include damage caused by use of the garden house and the readjustment of a door. Doors can be adjusted easily even. Ask us for advice should you have any questions on this subject.

The time from order through production to delivery is approximately 4-6 weeks. The exact time of delivery you will be informed in due time before delivery.


3. What payment methods are preferred?

 Your order please pay by bank transfer or cash on delivery.


4. An order was sent inadvertently. What should I do?
